About Us

This is a local dryer vent cleaning outfit, not a franchise desk routing your call somewhere else. When you ring, you reach the people who will be doing the job.

Some vents cannot be cleaned back to working order, and we say so on the spot. If a flexible foil duct has collapsed behind a dryer and been crushed flat for years, brushing it out buys you a few weeks. If an attic run has sagged into a belly between joists and holds packed lint at the low point, cleaning it clears the lint and leaves the sag. If a roof jack's screen is rusted shut or a pest cap has been torn off and birds have nested in the termination, that is a parts problem, not a brushing problem. We tell people which of those they have, what cleaning will and will not fix, and when the honest answer is repair or a new run instead. We also tell people when a vent does not need clearing yet. If airflow at the hood reads fine and the duct is short metal with a light coat, we say come back in a year or two and charge you for the look, not a cleaning you did not need.

Greater Houston's combination of slab-on-grade building and near-constant humidity sets the vent-run pattern. No basements means laundry is on the living level: a utility room off the kitchen or hall, an attached garage corner, or an interior closet in newer two-story and townhome stock. Older postwar ranch homes usually vent short and straight through a nearby exterior wall or through the garage wall, often with the original flexible foil or vinyl duct still in place. Infill rebuilds and the 1990s-onward two-story tracts push laundry to the second floor or to an interior core, forcing long duct runs of twenty to forty feet with multiple elbows, up through a hot unconditioned attic and out a roof jack. Those attic runs are the problem geometry here: summer attic temperatures well over 130°F, long horizontal spans sagging between joists, and lint collecting at every bend. Humidity extends drying cycles year-round, so dryers run longer and push more lint through the duct than in a dry climate. Brief winter cold snaps cause condensation inside metal duct, turning loose lint into packed cake. Gulf Coast pollen and construction dust from continuous metro development add to the load, as do roof-termination screens and pest caps that clog from the outside in.

On site we pull the dryer, check airflow at the exterior hood or roof jack first, and write down what we read. Then we run a rotary brush on a flexible line through the duct, working the full length and each elbow, with a vacuum capturing what comes loose so it does not end up in your laundry room. We work the termination from the outside too, since screens and caps clog from that direction. When the brush is out, we read airflow at the hood again and show you the before and after numbers along with what came out. We work behind gas and electric units, stacked and side-by-side washer-dryer closets, pedestal installs, and the compact units common in townhome second-floor laundries, and we reconnect with clamped rigid or semi-rigid transition, not foil tape over a crushed hose. The number on a cleaning moves with run length and elbow count, attic access, and whether the termination is a wall hood you can reach or a roof jack that needs a ladder and roof time. A short garage-wall run in a ranch is a different job than a forty-foot attic run to a roof. If what we find calls for a rerouted or rebuilt line, we will talk through installation options, and if you just want to know where you stand, ask for an inspection first.

Our service area

We cover Houston and the surrounding towns. If you're in one of these areas and have a dryer vent cleaning problem, call us. We usually get out the same day.

How we decide between cleaning, repairing, and replacing a vent line

When does a vent stop being worth cleaning? That is the call we make most often in Houston. A brush and vacuum fix a lint problem. They do not fix a geometry problem. If the duct is crushed, sagging between attic joists, or still the original flexible foil from a postwar ranch build, cleaning buys months. We say so on site instead of selling a repeat visit.

Our first question is the run itself. Short and straight through an exterior or garage wall? Clean it, reseal the hood, done. Twenty to forty feet up through an unconditioned attic to a roof jack? We count elbows and check for low spots. Sag traps lint. Lint traps moisture. Houston humidity keeps the cycle going year-round.

Replacement gets recommended for foil or vinyl, for duct taped at the joints, and for anything with a torn interior liner. Rigid metal with foil tape is the fix. Sometimes rerouting beats replacing in place.

We also say no. If a second-floor laundry closet needs a wall opened by a carpenter, that is not our scope. We tell you rather than guess.

Roof terminations get judged separately. Pest caps and screens clog from the outside in.
